5 Luxury Skincare Products Worth the Splurge

Spending in skincare is something I always talk about as most people talk about cost the minute you recommend skincare products. However, expensive skincare doesn’t mean it will be effective the same way cheaper doesn’t mean it won’t work but these are the skincare products that I have tried and are worth the splurge (if you can afford to). So here are my top five……

Biologique Recherche P50 1970 ($101) – if you have followed me for a while, you will not be surprised this is the first product I am mentioning. This toner is a game changer! A blend of AHA, BHA, PHA, Niacinamide and othe ingredients which help to smoothen your skin, tackle hyperpigmentation, keep breakouts at bay and balance the pH of your skin. Comes in a travel size so you can try before you take the plunge! Only snag is you have to buy online. Available at Rescue Spa, Toska European Spa, Vicki Morav and Liberty.

Tata Harper Purifying Cleanser ($70) – this cleanser was on my radar for so long and when a dear friend gave it to me, I was sooo excited!!!First use and I was in love. An all natural cleanser with pomegranate and papaya enzyme, purifies your skin without drying, smells amazing too.

Dr Dennis Gross Alpha Beta Extra Strength Daily Peel ($88 for a 30-day supply) – no jokes guys, I saw results overnight!!!! This product is basically pads pre-moistened with AHA/BHA toner and I really love this product. It is handy and perfect for travelling but I must warn you, it is NOT for daily use so the 30 day supply may last even longer than a month. Dullness, uneven skin tone, uneven texture, fine lines, acne….this product does it all.

Omorovicza Refining Facial Polisher ($95) – usually, I would rather use a chemical exfoliant but if I need to use a physical one, this is the only one I would use. Formulated with Hungarian moor mud, green micro algae and tropical fruit extracts, this is a very fine scrub that won’t strip your skin. I sometimes mix it into a cleanser if I want physical exfoliation but not really…LOL!. Simply put, it has the luxurious quality of a mask and the impact of a peel.

Sunday Riley Good Genes ($105) – it is safe to say that this is the most expensive product I have ever purchased and it was worth every cent! This lactic acid powerhouse exfoliates the skin to clear clogged pores as well as fade dark spots and acne scars. One product is touted to be a dupe but I strongly disagree. This has so many other ingredients that make it a superior product.

One thing to know is that you do not have to run out and get all these products especially if you cannot afford them comfortably but I can tell you that they are worth it. If I wasn’t so greedy with the need to try everything, I would repurchase them ASAP. Get samples to try before you splurge even if you can afford it as it would be a shame to spend $$$ on a product and it doesn’t work for you or worse still, breaks you out badly.

So those are my top five!
